The Anishinabek Nation Grand Council Assembly brought together Chiefs-in-Assembly, leadership, citizens, staff, and community partners in Thunder Bay and online for three days of dialogue, collaboration, and decision-making. Throughout the Assembly, leadership reflected on regional and national priorities, participated in strategy discussions, welcomed special guests, and deliberated and passed resolutions guiding the work ahead.
Miigwech to everyone who contributed to these important conversations, to Ojibway Alliance Drum and George O'Neill Ogichidaa Singers, our Translator Isadore Tolouse, and our host community, the Red Rock Indian Band.

This conference will provide an opportunity to discuss the challenges First Nationsface regarding the E’Dbendaagzijig (Those who Belong) process and Indian Actmembership. The Anishinaabe approach, regarding Anishinaabe Traditions andLaw process (Belonging and Identity) as a solution, will be reviewed as well.
June 26 - Ceremony to take place at Sault Tribe to prepare them for the 2nd part of their journey(to the OCF). Community members are welcome to attend to help them travel in a good way. They will rest at the OCF as we seek direction for the final step.
October/November 27 - Bi Naa Kwe Geh Ceremony for the 30 hair bundles. Anishinaabek communitymembers/kweok, drummers, bundle carriers, and leadership are invited to be present and to help in this ceremony.
